Ms. Louviere

Ms. Lou

Hi, I’m Ms. Louviere your 7th grade counselor but my students affectionately call me Ms. Lou! I’m here to help you navigate middle school life, whether you need support with classes, friendships, or just someone to talk to. I’ve been in education for five years and counseling for three, and I absolutely love what I do.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Two master’s degrees one in Teaching with a concentration in Special Education, and another in Human Growth and Development with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy. I hold degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lamar University, and Grambling State University (Go Tigers!). I’m also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

My goal? To be the counselor you can always count on someone who’s real, who listens, and who’s always in your corner. I love to laugh, have fun, and joke around, but I’m also serious about helping you become the best version of yourself and getting you ready for the big world ahead.

My door is always open. Let’s make this year amazing!

Mrs. Bourque

Mrs. Bourque

Hey there! I’m Mrs. Bourque, the 8th grade counselor, and I’m so excited to walk alongside our students as they prepare for high school and beyond. I’m a proud first-generation college graduate and Nicholls State University alum (Go Colonels!), with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology – Pre-Counseling and a Master of Education in School Counseling.

I’m passionate about helping students grow, overcome challenges, and discover their strengths. I love working with children and teens, especially using solution-focused and play therapy techniques to support their social, emotional, and academic development.

I’m also an active member of several professional organizations, including LCA, LSCA, LAPT, CSI Gamma Chapter, and ASCA all of which help me stay sharp and inspired as a counselor. Whether it’s a serious conversation or a light-hearted moment, I’m here to support our students every step of the way. The future is full of possibility, and I’m excited to help our kids chase it with confidence.
